“I am honoured that the Prime Minister has shown his confidence in my work by extending my role as Parliamentary Secretary for tourism and adding additional responsibilities regarding Official Languages and La Francophonie. The economic potential for Canadian tourism is tremendous and no more so than right here in Fundy Royal in New Brunswick.
I want to thank Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for placing his trust in me, and I look forward to working with the Hon. Melanie Joly on these important files. Tourism is an incredible file and I am truly excited to help promote and increase tourism in Canada, a fast growing sector that employs nearly two million Canadians. Together, we will identify and address structural barriers to Canada’s u sector. It will also be important to unlock investment in the sector and diversify Canada’s source of tourists and attractions. In addition, I look forward to working with the Minister to promote both our official languages and to ensure Canada’s strong and sustained engagement in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
It has been an honour to work with the Hon. Bardish Chagger and the Hon. Mary Ng to promote the small businesses that are the lifeblood of Canada’s economy, employing good jobs for nearly 10.5 million Canadians. I want to congratulate Richard Hebert on becoming Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Export Promotion and I know that our government will continue to support our hardworking entrepreneurs!”
